RAWALPINDI: A girl was gang-raped allegedly by two suspects in the limit of Rawat police while another girl was abducted by unidentified person in Kahuta area, police said.

The first incident was reported to the Rawat police on Sunday by the mother of the rape victim saying that she was leaving her house for an important piece of work on Saturday when she saw her daughter being taken away by the suspect on his motorcycle.

She said in the FIR that her daughter was taken to a house in Gohra Lohan and he also called his friend Aftab there and both of them raped her daughter.

She further said that earlier, after promising her he would marry her, the suspect had been sexually abusing her daughter.

In another incident, a girl was abducted by an unidentified person in the Kahuta area.

The brother of the abducted girl lodged an FIR with the Kahuta police saying that her unmarried sister aged between 20 and 21 had been missing for the last one week . After failing to trace her, he sought the police help and lodged an FIR with the police on Sunday. He suspected that his sister had been abducted.

Meanwhile, a gang of four robbers raided a house in Atomic Society Rawat and looted away gold jewellery worth Rs5 million and Rs200,000 after taking the family at gunpoint.

Mohammad Tanveer, a resident of Atomic Society lodged an FIR with the police saying that he left his house leaving his family behind to buy some households from a nearby market on Sunday.

He said in his absence, three robbers entered his house while their fourth accomplice remained at the entrance of the house. He said that the robbers held the female inmates and children at gunpoint and started searching room-after-room.

He further said that the robbers grabbed gold jewellery weighing 20 tolas from drawers and Rs200,000 and escaped.

Umair Hussain, a pharmacist, was robbed of Rs500,000 and his customers of their two mobile phones by two robbers in Rawat area.

Umair complained to the police that he was busy with customers when two robbers walked inside and snatched Rs500,000 from him.
