KHUZDAR: Two policemen were injured in a grenade attack on their official vehicle in Khuzdar town on Tuesday night.

According to officials, unknown motorcyclists attacked the CIA vehicle with a grenade in the Jhalawan complex area, injuring two personnel, including a senior officer.

Police rushed to the site soon after the blast and shifted the injured to Teaching Hospital, Khuzdar.

“CIA Khuzdar in-charge Maqbool Ahmed Mosyani received injuries as he was sitting in the vehicle when the grenade exploded,” Ghulam Mustafa Rind, SHO of City Police Station, told Dawn.

Officials said the motorcyclists also hurled two grenades at a camp of Frontier Corps which exploded in an open area. However, no human loss was reported.
