ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad police team arrested 90 criminals including 26 members of eight criminal gangs, involved in dacoity, snatching, house burglaries during the last three weeks and recovered 20 motorbikes, cash, mobile phones, laptops, gold ornaments, and weapons used in crime.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, SP Investigation Rukhsar Mehdi said the police teams of Anti-Robbery Dacoity Unit with technical and human assistance carried the operation.

Police team also recovered 20 stolen motorbikes, gold ornaments, cash, mobile phones, laptops and weapons.

During the preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed to having been involved in snatching in the twin cities. Cases were registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.

SP Investigation Rukhsar Mehdi appreciated the performance of the police teams.

Citizens are urged to report any suspicious individual or activity through the emergency helpline ‘Pucar-15’ or via ‘ICT-15’ app.
