PESHAWAR: Former judge of Peshawar High Court and renowned lawyer of Supreme Court of Pakistan Sher Mohammad Khan Advocate passed away.
His funeral prayer was offered on Monday evening at Grassy Ground in Swat. Fatiha Khawani for the deceased will be held in Mingora, Swat.
In their condolence messages, former chief justice of PHC and retired judge of Supreme Court Justice Dost Mohammad Khan, president of Peshawar High Court Bar Association, vice chairman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council and president of Peshawar High Court Mingora Bench Shams Al Hadi expressed sorrow over the death of Sher Mohammad Khan and described it a big loss.
They described his death a great tragedy for legal fraternity. “We are deeply grieved to hear that Sher Mohammad Khan, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan former vice-chair for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has passed away,” says a condolence message shared by HRCP on X.
As HRCP vice-chair, he led a number of key fact-finding missions and was responsible for mobilising human rights defenders across the province.
“His long years of contribution to HRCP will be remembered by all those, who worked with him. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleges,” says the message.
