PESHAWAR: A social media activist was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in North Waziristan’s regional headquarters Miramshah on Tuesday evening.

Police said that the social media activist, Kamran Dawar, was on his way home in Tappi village of Miramshah when unidentified gunmen opened firing on him. He was critically injured in the firing. He succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to a hospital.

Kamran Dawar was active on social media and had a Facebook video channel called Waziristan TV. No information was available about the identity of the killers and the motive behind the murder, police said.
