KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and several other politicians visited the Iranian Consulate General in Karachi on Tuesday to offer their condolences over the loss of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi who died in a helicopter crash.

Mr Bhutto-Zardari, along with his sister Aseefa and CM Shah, met with Iranian Consul General Hassan Nourian at the consulate and expressed his grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.

Meanwhile, the CM, on behalf of the people of the province, offered deepest condolence to the family of Iranian President Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossain Amir-Abdollahian.

Also on Tuesday, senior leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan Syed Mustafa Kamal and Nasreen Jalil paid a visit to the Iranian consulate general and offered condolences.

They prayed for the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the people of Iran in these trying times.
