LAHORE: Three armed men allegedly shot dead a minor girl at her home in Wapda Town here on Thursday.

Talking about the motive behind the murder, a police official said the suspected attackers were apparently identified as Ramzan, Allah Rakha and their accomplice.

He claimed the suspects had a grudge against Amina’s uncle Dilawar for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of Ramzan’s daughter. The both sides had scuffled many times over the issue in the past and on Thursday the alleged killers barged into the residence of the girl in Wapda Town where she told them that her uncle, Dilawar, was present in the house.

The police official said there were some reports that a physical brawl took place between the attackers and the girl’s uncle and then the intruders opened fire. A bullet hit Amina in the head, killing her on the spot.

In another conflicting report, it was said that Amina’s uncle was not present there and the suspects allegedly shot her dead in a grudge.

The police official said a special team was trying to get help from the nearby safe city and other cameras to find out the facts.

The suspected killers were residents of Mandi Usmanwala of Kasur district, he said, adding a police team had been dispatched to trace and arrest the killers.

RAPED: Two alleged robbers raped and looted a young man in the jungle of Shahdara area here on Thursday.

A resident of Bahawalpur, the victim told the police that a man who introduced himself as Waqas met him at Minar-i-Pakistan and offered him a job in a factory near Saggian. He said he later took him to a jungle where his accomplice was also present, holding a dagger in his hand.

He alleged that one of them raped him and then fled after looting Rs5,000 from him.

The police have lodged a case.
