QUETTA: Four members of a family were killed and 15 others injured in two road accidents in Zhob and Uthal areas of Balochistan on Thursday.

Officials said a nomad family was going to the Sar-Kach area of Zhob in a tractor-trolley which overturned and fell into a ditch, killing two women and two children. Five other members of the family suffered injuries.

Levies personnel and rescue workers rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to Zhob district hospital. The bodies were later handed over to family members.

The incident took place due to speeding as the driver lost control of the tractor-trolley.

Another incident took place on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in Winder area of Lasbela district where a Karachi-bound passenger coach coming from Quetta overturned, leaving 10 people injured.

Police rushed to the area after receiving the information about the accident and shifted the injured to the Winder hospital. They speeding was the cause of the accident.

Honour killing

A woman and a man were killed by an armed man in Dera Allahyar area of Jaffarabad district in the name of honour.

According to police, the incident took place in Goth Gormani area of Dera Allahyar on Thursday where a man killed a woman and a man in the name of honour.

Police rushed to the area and shifted bodies of the victims to Dera Allahyar district hospital.

Later, the bodies were handed over to families of the two victims.

Police said it was a matter of honour killing and police were investigating the incident and making efforts to arrest the man involved in the double murder.

Bullet-riddled body found

Levies officials found the bullet-riddled body of a young man in the Hazarjuft area of Noshki district. The body was shifted to district hospital where the man was identified as Muhammad Fahim, a resident of Killi Sharif Khan Badini.

“The man went for a picnic along with his friend on Wednesday and today we received his body,” a family member told Levies officials.

Further investigation into the murder was underway.

Man shot dead

Unidentified men shot dead a man and injured another in the Washbood area of Panjgur district.

According to police, the two victims were targeted in their vehicle. The body and the injured were shifted to a district hospital.

The cause of the killing was not known and police said they were investigating the matter.
