Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to all global actors who “raised their voices for Palestine” in a televised speech.
“I am grateful for the efforts of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and other Muslim states, who have raised their voices in international fora against the Israeli bloodshed in Gaza,” he said.
“I am grateful to those European states that have condemned this barbarity and recognised Palestine,” he continued. “I called Norway and Ireland’s PMs and congratulated and thanked them on behalf of Pakistan.
“They stood up for the people of Palestine. I believe that other nations will now join these three European nations in demanding a free Palestinian state.”
Praying for an end to the violence, the premier concluded his address by reiterating that he is raising his voice for the rights and freedom of Palestinians and Kashmiris.
