QUETTA: Iran is always prepared to help Pakistan in the industry, trade and health sectors, the country’s consul general in Quetta said during a visit to a hospital on Tuesday.

Hassan Darvishvand said relations between Pakistan and Iran were exemplary and had flourished over the decades.

The consul general visited the ARIA Institute of Medical Sciences, describing it as a blessing for the people of Balochistan.

He expressed hope that it would enable the people of the province to benefit from advances in medical science.

He reiterated that Tehran would continue encouraging Pakistani businesspersons, industrialists and pilgrims to visit Iran, assuring them of “all-out cooperation” in obtaining visas and resolving other problems.

Ali Shehzad, an official from the federal ministry of religious affairs, described the establishment of Arya Institute of Medical Sciences as a positive development for the people of Balochistan.

Dr Sohail Khan briefed the Iranian consul general about the hospital, highlighting that it is the only private hospital in the province offering services like open-heart surgery, angioplasty and treatment of chest diseases.
