GUJRAT: A 22-year-old youth was burnt to death on Tuesday while trying to perform a stunt through sprinkling petrol from his mouth and create fire.

The deceased would often use to make TikTok videos to share on social media.

Aamir of Phulerwan village in city suburbs went to the roof of his house on Saturday last along with a bottle of petrol and poured some fuel in his mouth and then sprinkled it into the air to create fire for making a TikTok video.

However, in that attempt the neck, face and upper portion of body was severely burnt and he was shifted to burn unit of Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital from where doctors later referred him to Jinnah hospital, Lahore. The youth succumbed to the burn wounds in Lahore earlier on Tuesday.

The body reached Gujrat at night and he was laid to rest in the local graveyard after offering funeral prayers.

The deceased belonged to a poor family and was the eldest son in the family.
