TAXILA: The Attock Khurd Police on Thursday foiled a bid to smuggle huge quantity of narcotics from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Punjab and arrested a smuggler.

The police spokesman said that acting on a tip off, a police party led by SHO Khanzada Sheroze intercepted a car on G.T. Road at Attock Khurd check post and during a search 33 kg hashish was recovered from the hidden parts of the vehicle. During preliminary interrogation, the suspect revealed that he was a member of an inter-provincial racket of narcotics smuggler and was smuggling the consignment from tribal areas to various cities of Punjab.
