Tennis: ICB capture trophy

ISLAMABAD, March 18: Islamabad College for Boys (ICB), G-6, clinched team title trophy of Beaconhouse Inter-school tennis with a 2-1 victory over Froebles School on Friday.

Haq brothers, Jibran and Saadan, proved the mainstay of ICB’s victory in the final competed by leading educational institutions of the capital city.

In the first singles match of the final tie, Jibran gave ICB a 1-0 lead with a 4-0, 4-1 victory over Badarul Islam of Froebles.

Raja Taimoor then brought Froebles on equal terms with a 4-1, 4-1 triumph over Sadanul.

Jibran and Saadan then showed splendid combination in the deciding doubles match which they won 4-2, 5-3 to give ICB a 2-1 victory in the final tie.—APP
