MUZAFFARGARH: District Officer Environment Suraj Kumar has stopped working by pouring water into 6 kilns for using substandard fuel in the town of Basira and sealed the kilns.

DO Environment Suraj Kumar said that sub-standard fuel was being used in 6 kilns in the town of Basira, the smoke produced not only causes air pollution but also causes several diseases in the residents of the surrounding area.

Apart from this, the said kilns were not using zigzag technology as per the government policy, on which action was taken against the said kilns under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner Muzaffargarh Nasir Shahzad and by pouring water into the kilns under their supervision with the team of Rescue 1122.

The works have been shut down and sealed under the challan of the kilns.
