The ongoing conflict in Gaza has caused immense suffering, leaving countless individuals in urgent need of humanita-rian assistance. While physical access to Gaza is limited, there are still several impactful ways in which we can support the people of Gaza through the platform of digital activism.

We can encourage people to donate to reputable organisations providing emergency relief in Gaza. Organisations like the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), International Red Cross and various local non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are directly involved in delivering food, medical supplies and essential services to those affected across Gaza.

We can, for instance, promote online fundraising platforms, such as GoFundMe or JustGiving, where individuals can create or contribute to campaigns that are dedicated to supporting the inhabi- tants of Gaza. People in the Muslim world, and whoever believes in the larger concept of humanity, should highlight successful campaigns and provide tips on how to start and promote an effective fundraising effort.

People, especially the thousands of social media influencers, can also be urged to use their platforms to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Sharing verified information, personal stories of those affected, and educational resources can help generate global attention and support.

Another way to help people in Gaza is through participation in online petitions calling for governmental and interna-tional interventions to provide humani- tarian aid and promote peace. Websites like Change.org host numerous petitions that can amplify public demand for action.

People usually believe they can only physically volunteer for a cause. But there are opportunities for virtual volunteering as well, such as offering skills in translation, graphic designing or digital marketing to organisations aiding Gaza. This support can enhance the efficiency and reach of relief efforts.

Besides, online webinars and events focussed on educating the public about the situation in Gaza can also be held. These events can provide valuable insights from experts and firsthand accounts from those on the ground, fostering a more informed and engaged community. By leveraging the power of the internet, we can make a significant difference in the lives of those suffering in Gaza.

People should feel encouraged to make a difference by considering these and many other online approaches to support the people in Gaza. These may be generally considered nothing, but, trust me, these little actions can contribute to the Palestinian cause immensely.
