First look of David Corensweet as Superman

DC Comics released the first image of David Corensweet in James Gunn’s Superman movie.

The photo shared on DC Comics’ social media shows Corensweet wearing the Superman costume. He is slipping his left boot over his tights.

“Get ready” read the caption. Gunn announced his Superman project after he and Peter Safran were hired by Warner Bros. to spearhead their films based on DC Comics superheroes. Gunn originally called his film Superman: Legacy but has since renamed it simply Superman.

Superman opens on July 11, 2025.

Venom: The Last Dance to be the final Venom movie

The upcoming third entry in the Venom movie franchise, Venom: The Last Dance, will follow its title and be the final entry in the symbiote story.

Sony Pictures chairman and CEO Tim Rothman briefly mentioned the upcoming movie while discussing the company’s slate of movies in the future, and essentially confirmed that the upcoming third film would end the Venom franchise.

“The third and last Venom, is going to be huge,” said Rothman. The film is set to release on October 25, 2024. Currently, not a whole lot is definitively known about the upcoming film.

Despicable Me 4 trailer

Illumination shared a trailer for the upcoming animated film, Despicable Me 4.

Steve Carrell and Kristen Wiig return to voice Gru and Lucy, who, along with their daughters Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier) and Agnes (Madison Polan), welcome a new member of the family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad.

In addition, Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara), and the family is forced to go on the run. The trailer shows Silas Ramsbottom (Steve Coogan) create Mega Minions, who assist Gru.

Despicable Me 4 is directed by Chris Renaud and is a sequel to Despicable Me 3 (2017) and the sixth film in the Despicable Me franchise. The film opens in theatres July 3.
