Amovie with a multiverse, dozens of superheroes and infinite earths, cannot be skipped at any cost. Part Two of the Justice League — Crisis on Infinite Earths series is out, where action heroes from various Earths fight for survival. Set in the Tomorrowverse, the movie begins where Part 1 ends, where many superheroes vanish into thin air.

We see Batman from another Earth fight Joker and other supervillains with the prodigies based on another planet, while we see Justice League stranded in another place. There is a background story to Super Girl, the last survivor of Planet Krypton, and her transformation.

Unlike the previous part, where everything revolved around the Flash, the writer James Krieg makes Supergirl the central character and creates the plot around her time with the Monitor after her rescue post-Krypton time. They develop a father-daughter relationship, until Psycho Pirate, the shady character who went into the costume changer machine in Part One, plays his part. How he turns evil and spreads hate among the good guys is worth watching.

Crisis on Infinite Earths series appeared for the first time in a 12-part comic book series, between April 1985 and continued till March 1986. Comic book fans are excited for the third and final part, as for non-comic book fans, including me, the best thing is to read the comic books before watching the movie. They would realise that the movie is not entirely true to the story written nearly 40 years ago, but is similar. Here, we have the Justice League of America fighting alongside the Justice Society of America, among others.

The final instalment is set to balance the wayward situation, mainly due to John Constantine’s return and Doctor Light’s emergence. As for the voice-over artists, Jensen Ackles (Batman), Darren Criss (Superman), Stana Katic (Wonder Woman), Meg Donnelly (Supergirl), Geoffery Arend (Psycho Pirate) and Jonathan Adams (The Monitor) excel for director Jeff Wamester, in the 94-minute movie.

How the trilogy would end remains to be seen, but as per the trailer of the third part due next month, we could counter monsters, Batman villains and a ‘Specialist’, with the missing-in-action Lex Luthor returning with some kind of solution.
