RAHIM YAR KHAN: The members of the Lund gang have threatened to close the motorway-5 if police do not return their family members allegedly held in illegal custody.

In a viral video message on social media, the gangsters, including Shahid Lund Baloch, his uncle Abdul Ghani Lund, and a guest, Ashiq Hussain Korai, accused the Rahim Yar Khan police of wrongdoing against them, their families, and their guests.

Shahid Lund Baloch, addressing the Rahim Khan Yar district police officer in the video, claimed that the police stations of Kot Sabzal, Bhong, and the Jamaldin Wali check post personnel regularly discriminate against them and their guests.

He alleged when two women, a youth, and three children from their group were visiting the Indus Hospital near Bhong for medical treatment, they were picked up by the police.

They accuse police of wrongdoing against them

Although a woman and the children were recovered with the help of some cooperative police officers, another woman and a youth remained in custody of Kot Sabzal police without any charges.

Shahid claimed that they were innocent and the whole area knew about their character and accused Station House Officer (SHO) Salim Darigh of wrongdoing.

He has appealed to the premier, the Punjab chief minister and the police high-ups for the immediate release of the detained people.

He further said they do not want to fight with the government or people, but if their demand was not met within 48 hours, they would attack with mortars and rocket launchers.

Later in the video, Ashiq Hussain Korai said he had never been involved in kidnapping or murder, and reiterated that his family members were visiting the hospital in Bhong when the police took them.

He warned if they were not returned, they would close the CPEC road [Motorway-5] and attack Bhong.
