HYDERABAD: Two brothers were killed allegedly at the instance of former wife of one of the victims in Makrani locality within the jurisdiction of Hali Road on Tuesday.

Police have picked up around five suspects, including the father and a sister of the prime suspect, Noshad Abbasi.

According to FIR of the case, Mohammad Rafiq and his brother Rameez Raja were killed outside their house by Noshad Abbasi, who had married Rafiq’s former wife through court. The case was lodged under sections 302, 114, 504 PPC vide crime No. 76/24 on the complaint of Maula Bux Baloch, father of the deceased.

He said Noshad Abbasi had married Wakeela, former wife of Rafiq. He said the marriage had caused a conflict between Rafiq and Noshad, and the former had filed an application before a sessions court which had fixed it for hearing on June 26. He disclosed that his sons were sitting outside their shops along with neighbourers Babu Khan and Gohram alias Dada Baloch.

Accused killer had married to one of the victims’ former wife

He stated that he had come out of the house after hearing some noise and found out that Noshad Abbasi, son of Shamshad Abbasi, and his son-in-law Wajid, son of Haji Wali Mohammad Rajar, were quarrelling with Rafiq.

He said Babu and Gohram tried to intervene, but Noshad’s son Sameer and Wakeela incited Noshad and Wajid to kill Rafiq. He said Noshad and Rajar fired on his sons, adding that Rameez lost his life on way to hospital while Rafiq breathed his last in the hospital.

The SSP of Hyderabad said police had detained some suspects in the matter and expressed the hope that prime suspect Noshad Abbasi would be arrested as well. He said Noshad had fled to Jamshoro.
