KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, along with Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, paid a visit to different parts of the city to inspect the work on de-silting of storm water drains ahead of monsoon season.

When the CM reached the Nursery area, the mayor briefed him about measures being taken by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation to deal with upcoming rains. The CM then drove to Baloch Colony to inspect the ongoing cleanliness drive there.

The mayor informed him about certain choking points in the city including the one on Tipu Sultan Road. The CM directed the mayor to take immediate measures to clear all choking points in the city.

He also asked the authorities to complete the work to clean storm water drains across the city before monsoon.

The CM warned that he would not tolerate any negligence as the Sindh government had already released all funds required for the de-silting.

He directed the mayor to keep working for the betterment of the city and ignore the so-called criticism against the PPP government.
