Two siblings drown in pond

MUZAFFARGARH: Two siblings drowned while bathing in a fish pond here on Thursday near Khangarh Shomali on Jhang Road, some 20 kilometres away from the city.

Reports said Khadeeja (5) and her brother Hadi (7) were bathing in the pond when they drowned.

Locals tried to rescue them, but both children died at the scene.

After confirming their deaths, rescue staff covered the bodies and handed them over to the family.
