53 gas connections severed over pilferage

LAHORE: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited teams on Friday disconnected another 53 connections and imposed Rs3.4m fine on those involved in gas pilferage and other illegalities.

In Lahore, the team severed eight connections followed by Multan where the team disconnected 10 connections.

The regional team of Sheikhupura disconnected two connections whereas Bahawalpur team disconnected two connections on the illegal use of gas and another eight on the use of compressors.

The regional team of Faisalabad disconnected one connection whereas Sahiwal team disconnected two meters.
