ISLAMABAD: Sohail Adnan and Huzaifa Shahid won their respective U-13 semi-finals against foreign opponents of the Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship here at the Mushaf Squash Complex on Friday.
In the first semi-final, Sohail outclassed Malaysia’s Mohammad Iffat Zulkifli 11-8, 11-6, 11-2 while Huzaifa defeated Julius Tan, also of Malaysia, 11-2, 11-8, 11-5 in the other last-four match. Sohail and Huzaifa will play the final on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Pakistan players Abdullah Nawaz and Hamza Khan after winning their respective matches reached the U-17 and U-19 finals, respectively.
Abdullah faces Malaysia’s Nikhelswar in the final while Hamza in his decider takes on Harith Danial, also of Malaysia.
The semi-finals of boys and girls events in different age categories were also held on Friday.
