KASUR: A speeding minivan overturned near village Bhoay Asal on Kasur-Changa Manga Road, leaving one dead and eight injured, on Saturday.

The van was going from Pattoki to Changa Manga. Liaqat, 60, of Kot Radha Kishan succumbed to his injuries, while Saima, Najma, Balqees, Jannat, Rehmat Ali, Bashir, Naveed and Khalid were injured.

The injured were shifted to the Chunian THQ Hospital.

DRONE: Ganda Singh police recovered a drone near the Pakistan-India border village of Jamowala on Saturday.

The drone was spotted by villagers, and police suspect it was being used to transport drugs.

The broken parts of the drone have been taken into custody, and a criminal case has been lodged against unidentified people.
