ISLAMABAD: The government has appointed two prominent figures from the corporate sector as ambassadors-at-large to bolster economic diplomacy.

The Foreign Office notified on Thursday that Asif Jooma and Dr Syed Nadeem Ahmed have been appointed for two years in honorary capacities.

Mr Jooma is an executive with more than 35 years of experience in the corporate sector.

Dr Nadeem Ahmed, with a 32-year tenure in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, is the group managing director of IBL and CEO of The Searle Company Ltd.
