LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Wednesday approved the Chief Minister Internship Programme at a cost of Rs1 billion.

The PDWP meeting chaired by Planning and Development Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Awan approved a total of eight development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost around Rs27.5 billion.

The other approved schemes are CM Himmat Card Programme for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) at a cost of Rs1.95 billion; Rehabilitation of Gujrat-Sargodha-Mandi Bahauddin at a cost of Rs6.7 billion; Rehabilitation of THAT Pail road at a cost of Rs4.5 billion; Rehabilitation of Terhada Multan Khurd Road at a cost of Rs1.5 billion; Rehabilitation / Improvement of road from Bhera Malikwal Shahpur Sahiwal road Section Jhawarian to Shahpur, District Sargodha, at a cost of Rs1.94 billion; Rehabilitation / Improvement of Khushab Pail Chakwal road upto District Boundary Khushab at a cost of Rs4.187 billion; and improvement / re-construction of road Girot Adhikot Rangpur Kallurkot Darya Khan road from District Boundary Khushab to Daraya Khan, District Bhakkar, at a cost of Rs6.046 billion.

P&D Board Secretary Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Nasir Iqbal Malik, P&D Board members, heads of relevant departments and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
