KARACHI: Qazi Mohammad Isa, Chief Adviser to the AGG, Baluchistan, issued the following statement on Sunday [July 3] … : “Certain representatives of news agencies in Baluchistan have taken a very keen and one-sided interest in flashing mischievous news; especially when they tend to be anti-League. They have … tried to make a mountain of a mole hill.

“It is through this propaganda that people outside Baluchistan are made to believe that the Tribes Federation is really a party worth recognizing, while no such party exists there in the real sense. It might be in the imagination of a certain interested few who are still living in the old order and believe that God has created human beings for their exploitation and that they are at liberty to treat them as chattel.

“An overwhelming majority of the tribes were already in the Muslim League and a great deal more have joined ever since the formation of the Baluchistan Council. For example, the Sardar of Sanjarani along with his 15,000 followers on the Pakistan-Iran-Afghanistan border, has declared his loyalty to Pakistan and joined the Muslim League and has ridiculed the existence of the so-called Tribes Federation. … ”
