DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three people were killed and three others sustained injuries when a speeding tractor-trolley crashed in the Danasar area of Darazinda tribal subdivision, a rescue official said on Friday.

Rescue 1122 spokesman Aizaz Mehmood said a tractor-trolley loaded with wood lost control due to high speed and six passengers were thrown from the vehicle, resulting in three deaths and three injuries.

Rescue teams shifted the casualties to Type-D Hospital in Darazinda. Later, the injured were referred to the Dera Ismail Khan Trauma Centre.

The deceased were identified as Jumma Rahim, Mubeen and Saifur Rehman, while the injured were identified as Shamsullah, Bateel and Mohammad Hassan.

Meanwhile, a young man was killed and another was injured in a firing incident on the banks of the Indus River in the limits of Cantonment police station, an official said on Friday.

The police registered a case on the complaint of Rahimzada Marwat, a brother of the deceased, Hamzadullah Marwat, 22, against the accused, Ehsanullah aka Tutu and his accomplices.
