TOBA TEK SINGH: The Jhang City police arrested a honey-trap gang consisting of a woman, Razia Bibi, and her two male accomplices, Waqas and Zeshan.

The gang would extort money from men by blackmailing them with naked videos. Investigation SP Javed Iqbal said the gang would trap men by making relations, and then forcing them to pay money.

INJURED: Three women, Ishrat Bano, Shamim Akhtar, and Shahida Salim, were critically injured when an upper storey wall fell on them in Faisalabad’s Maqsoodabad locality.

They were clearing a choked drain during rain when the wall collapsed.

KILLER HELD: An alleged killer of a young private college principal was arrested on Saturday by Gojra City police.

According to the district police spokesperson, Aqib Sharif was on way to his college in Gojra on a motorcycle on Jan 27 when at Khatme Nabuwat Chowk on Railway Road he was killed by two unidentified motorcyclists. He died instantly.

Sources said the deceased had been linked in the murder of Maqbool of his Chak 298-JB and to take revenge, relatives of Maqbool, Wasim Latif and his accomplice had shot Aqib dead.

The police traced and arrested the suspect at Chak 159-GB, Gaggo Mahal.

JAILED: A woman, Madeeha, and her friend, Ehtisham, were sentenced to life imprisonment on two counts for the murder of her husband Saqib and husband’s brother Kashif three years ago.

Faisalabad District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Javedul Hassan Chishti also ordered them to pay Rs500,000 each to the heirs of the deceased.

The prosecution said Madeeha had developed relations with Ehtisham and they had shot dead her husband and his brother to clear their way to marry each other.
