QUETTA: One person died from suffocation and three others, including two firefighters, fell unconscious after a fire broke out on the upper story of a hotel on Saturday.
Police said the fire, which erupted on the upper story of a hotel on Prince Road, quickly spread and engulfed several rooms. Fire brigade teams rushed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control.
Unfortunately, one guest succumbed due to smoke inhalation, and two firefighters fell unconscious during the rescue efforts and were taken to Civil Hospital.
“The labourers were occupying eight rooms in the hotel, which were affected by the fire. However, the fire brigade managed to rescue other labourers. The cause of the fire remains unknown,” according to the police.
