ISLAMABAD: An eight-year-old child drowned in Korang Nullah in Bhara Kahu area on Sunday.

According to the police, three children were playing near the nullah when all of sudden there was flooding at around 11am. As a result, they fell into the nullah.

Two of them were rescued by a passerby but one boy identified as Mohammad Faizan, 8, drowned. Despite efforts by the rescue team including navy divers, he could not be traced.

“Chances of the boy’s survival are next to impossible. You can say, unfortunately, we are trying to trace his dead body, as hours have been passed, but he is still missing,” a police official said.
