LAHORE: Defence B police registered a first information report against a resident of DHA Phase V for allegedly badly mistreating their 13-year-old maid on charges of theft.

Police took action after Nabila Bibi, mother of the minor girl Tehreem, reported the brutal treatment her daughter had endured.

Following the registration of the FIR, suspect Hassam and his family fled, locking their house.

“On July 2, I received a call from the suspect, who made me listen to my daughter’s screams of pain. When I rushed to the employer’s house in DHA, the family prevented me from even seeing my daughter,” Nabila stated in the FIR.

She added that later, the employer took her daughter to her house in Chungi Amar Sidhu to search for the alleged stolen items. After finding nothing, they returned to their DHA residence, leaving her daughter visibly injured with multiple torture marks, bleeding from her nose and mouth, and with swollen arms.

“My daughter told me that Hassam used to strip her naked and torture her with an iron rod daily, under the pretext of theft charges,” the FIR quoted Tehreem.

She added that Hassam’s wife also encouraged the torture.

“Due to frequent torture, my daughter’s nose and arms were badly fractured,” Nabila stated, demanding punishment for the suspects.
