LAHORE: The prosecution on Monday supplied a copy of the challan (investigation report) to former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi during a jail hearing for his indictment next week in Shadman police station attack case of May 9 riots.

Anti-Terrorism Court-I Judge Khalid Arshad went to Kot Lakhpat jail to conduct the hearing as the former foreign minister was brought from Adiala jail, Rawalpindi.

During the hearing, a special prosecutor distributed the copies of the challan among the suspects, including Mr Qureshi.

The judge directed the police to produce the suspects again on July 15 for framing of the charges.

After the hearing, the officials took Qureshi back to Adiala jail, where he is detained for his involvement in different cases.

Shadman police had registered a case against PTI leaders and activists on charges of attacking and burning the police station during the May 9 riots following the arrest of former premier Imran Khan in a graft case by the NAB.

JINNAH HOUSE: An anti-terrorism court on Monday summoned over 200 suspects, including PTI leaders and activists, to receive copies of the challan in the Jinnah House attack case.

ATC Judge Khalid Arshad held the hearing in Kot Lakhpat jail.

PTI jailed leaders, including Senator Ejaz Chaudhry, former provincial minister Mian Mahmoodur Rashid, and former governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema were produced before the court established in the jail.

Fashion designer Khadija Shah and other suspects, who have been released on bail, also attended the jail hearing.

The judge directed the prosecution to ensure the appearance of all the suspects on July 15 for distribution of the copies of the challan.
