The bodies of the two women were recovered while search for the two men were underway.

According to Rescue 1122, the tourists were heading to Astore when they met with the accident near Harcho.

After being informed about the accident, Rescue 1122 reached the site and launched a search operation with the help of a boat.

Personnel of Rescue 1122 in Chilas were also engaged in different places along the river from Thalchi to Harcho. The bodies of the two women were recovered near the accident site and shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Gilgit.
