LAKKI MARWAT: District police officer Taimur Khan on Wednesday suspended 12 policemen, including a sub-inspector, over links with criminals.

An official said that the suspended officials had been directed to report to the police lines immediately.

“The suspended officials included Ghaznikhel police station additional SHO Sub-Inspector Qudratullah, head constable Syed Ali, lower head constables Qayyum and Mohsin, detective foot constable Khalid Raza, foot constable Ihsanullah and wireless operator Mir Qalam Khan,” the official said.

He said that five gunners of former SHO Shafqatullah (already suspended and closed to the police lines) were also among the suspended officials. They included constables Barkatullah, Nauroaz, Shafiq, Nisar and Amanat.

The official said that the charge sheet and summary of allegations would be issued to the suspended cops separately.
