RAWALPINDI: The regional police officer Babar Sarfraz Alpahas instructed the police to conduct intelligence-based operations in collaboration with security agenciesin the vicinity of important sites and verify whether security personnel deployed at the Karote Hydropower project have undergone a ‘security check’ or not.

He also ordered provision of foolproof security to foreigners during their movement between the project site and their residence.

The Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfraz Alpa gave this instruction while visiting Karote Hydropower project Kahuta on Wednesday where

SSP Special Protection Unit (SPU) and SDPO Kahuta gave a detailed briefing on security arrangements and other matters.

The RPO directed the police officers to conduct search operations along with other security agencies around all the important places in the vicinity of the hydro power project and ensure that security personnel should also undergo a security check besides providing security to foreigners during their movement.

A spokesman for the RPO said on Wednesday that Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi Region Babar Sarfraz Alpa visited Croat Hydro Project Kahuta. SSP Special Protection Unit Colonel Shahid, SDPO Kahuta Mirza Tahir Sikandar and other relevant officers also accompanied the RPO .

The RPO reviewed all the security arrangements at the power project, the police officers and military officials concernedgave a detailed briefing to the RPO Rawalpindi on all the security arrangements.

RPO Rawalpindi issued instructions to the officers concernedand said that according to the SOP, intelligence-based search operations should be carried out in the surrounding areas of the project along with other security agencies, checking of security officials deployed at the project should be carried out.

He also directed to ensure timely completion of security arrangements before their movements.

RPO also visited the Kahuta police station and Khidmat Markaz Kahuta. The RPO said that the provision of at the service centre should be ensured without interruption and in a short time. The RPO further said that the police station is a basic unit for providing justice to the citizens.

Citizens who come to the police station should be treated with courtesy while ensuring merit and justice.
