KARACHI: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called on Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, the leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, at the Burhani Palace during his visit to the metropolis.

Syedna’s son, Shahzada Hussain Burhanuddin, was also present during the meeting.

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, the interior minister expressed good wishes for Syedna and welcomed him to Pakistan.

He said: “Your arrival is an honour for us. We have a relationship of respect and admiration with you, which will always remain the same.”

Syedna Mufaddal thanked the interior minister for resolving issues related to the Dawoodi Bohra community and presented him with a beautiful chador and tabarruk.

Meanwhile, Mr Naqvi visited an imambargah in Soldier Bazaar and reviewed the security arrangements.

He also met with Ayatullah Aqeel al-Gharavi and former caretaker Chief Minister Maqbool Baqar.
