TOBA TEK SINGH: A man was murdered on Saturday in Faisalabad’s Jaranwala Chak 128 GB after a fight between the pet dogs of the deceased and the suspect.

According to Jaranwala City police, deceased Hafeezur Rehman was passing by with his pet dog in front of the house of suspect Sanaullah, when suddenly his dog attacked the dog of the suspect.

This led to an exchange of words between both of them two, and Sanaullah opened fire at Hafeez, injuring him critically. The injured was shifted to the Allied Hospital, where he succumbed to his fatal wounds.

ROOF COLLAPSE: A boy died and his sister was injured after the roof of a room in their house caved in on Friday night at Chak 65 RB on the Sheikhupura Road in Faisalabad.

Village residents removed heavy debris but Muhammad Adnan, 18, had already died.

Reports said torrential rain caused the already dilapidated roof to collapse. According to the Balochni police, Naureen, 16, was shifted to Allied Hospital.

ACCIDENT: A motorcycle rickshaw driver died and a rickshaw passenger woman was injured in a collision with a mini van near the Samanabad police station on Risalaywala Road in Faisalabad on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Adeel, 18.

The injured passenger, Nabila Sajid, 24, was shifted to Samanabad Government General Hospital.

FIA: A Faisalabad FIA team raided a travel agency on Chibbanwala Road on Saturday and arrested its owner Muhammad Zeshan for human trafficking.

An FIA spokesperson said the suspect extorted millions from people to send them to Poland, Romania, Russia, Dubai and several other European countries.

During the raid, the team took into custody fake work permits, bank guarantee letters, visa stamps, laptops, and records of bank transactions.

ACE: The Toba Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) booked Akmal Hussain, clerk in the Government High School Chak 397 JB, on Saturday for receiving a bribe of Rs500,000 from the husband of a government primary school teacher in Mauza Rampur.

Complainant Shahid Hussain said in his FIR, registered under sections 5-2-47 of PCA and 161 of PPC, that the suspect offered to arrange early retirement for his wife, Fauqia Javed, a teacher, on medical grounds after receiving Rs500,000 as a bribe, which he paid in two instalments. However, the suspect failed to fulfil his promise. Raids are being conducted by ACE to arrest the accused.

ESCAPE: An accused in a murder case escaped from police custody at the Faisalabad Jaranwala Tehsil Courts Complex.

Irfan Farman Dhakku of Chak 35 GB, along with eight other people of different cases, was brought in handcuffs from the Satiana police station lockup to be produced in different courts in Jaranwala.

While sitting in the veranda outside a court, the suspect freed himself from the handcuffs and ran away. As of this report, the police have failed to arrest him, although they have sealed the exit points of Jaranwala city to arrest him.
