RAWALPINDI: The All-Pakistan Khatame Nabuwwat Sunni Convention, which concluded its deliberations here today [July 13], has called for tolerance and forbearance by the Muslims in their dealings with the Ahmadis. Sahibzada Faizul Hasan Faizi released the resolutions adopted at the convention. …

In reply to a question, he called upon the Muslims not to indulge in such activities that may endanger the lives and properties of any citizen of the country, irrespective of religious beliefs. The type of social boycott which may stop the supply of water and food to the Ahmadis was not warranted in any manner. He added that such intolerance on the part of Muslims was bound to tarnish Pakistan’s image abroad.

He said that even if the Ahmadis were declared a non-Muslim minority they would be entitled to those rights and privileges that are allowed in an Islamic society. … The … Convention has called for complete unity among the Muslims at this critical juncture and urged all the political parties to forge a united front to frustrate the nefarious designs of the enemies of Pakistan.
