ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought response from the Executive Director (ED) Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) Dr Rana Imran Sikander over the allegation of contempt of court.

According to documents, a doctor of the hospital Saifur Rehman has filed a petition seeking the initiation of contempt of court proceedings against the ED for not showing compliance with the directions to refrain from doing anything else apart from day to day affairs.

Dr Saif had alleged that Dr Rana had been performing functions beyond the “day to day affairs” of the office of ED Pims.

Dr Rana Imran Sikander has been appointed on a look after charge as ED Pims.

The single bench, comprised Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, has directed ED Pims to submit a report before next date of hearing of September 16.

The ED has also beendirected that the report should be clearly typed in triplicate.
