DERA GHAZI KHAN: Rujhan police recovered a kidnapped child from a robbers’ gang on Tuesday.

In a targeted operation, the police successfully rescued a kidnapped child, Hashim Malik, from Dado Bangiani Gang in Rakh Shahwali.

According to a police spokesperson, the Rujhan police launched the operation against the Dado Bangiani gang of Rawalpindi in the Katcha area. The gang had reportedly brought the hostage to Rakh Shahwali with the intent to sell him to another gang. Utilising advanced digital tracking resources, the police were able to locate the kidnappers.

As the police advanced, an exchange of gunfire ensued between them and the robbers. Amid the firefight, the kidnappers abandoned Hashim and fled. However, during the abduction, a person was injured while resisting the kidnappers.

Hashim Malik was abducted a few days back. His family expressed gratitude to the Rajanpur police for their swift and effective action.

In another development, Rajanpur police arrested a fugitive in a murder case with the help of Interpol 20 years after the incident.

The suspect was apprehended abroad as a part of the ongoing effort by Rajanpur police to capture fugitive criminals. From 2023 to 2024, Rajanpur police have arrested 11 criminals from various countries who were wanted in serious cases.
