DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Five members of a private company’s sniffer dog team were abducted in the Mulazai area of Tank district on Tuesday, according to local police.

Noor Ali, a resident of Mulazai, had hired the private company’s service in connection with a theft case.

According to police officials, the team was in the area to search for the lost items when unidentified men abducted the five investigators, who were identified as Shoaib Khan, Rafiullah and Raees Khan from Karak district and Shahid Aziz Bhatti and Majid Ali from Okara, Punjab.

Police registered a case and launched probe. Sources said the abductors allegedly demanded ransom of Rs100m from the victims’ families.
