QUETTA: The National Party has strongly opposed the federal government’s decision to ban PTI, calling the move dictatorial and undemocratic.
The party’s central spokesman said an earlier ban imposed on the National Awami Party had disastrous consequences, leading to deprivation and giving birth to prolonged insurgency.
He emphasised that the National Party does not support such actions and will strongly oppose them.
The party’s spokesman stressed that instead of adopting authoritarian stances, the ruling coalition should strengthen political parties to promote democratic stability.
They should respect political parties, strengthen democracy, and play a role in its stability rather than advancing authoritarian positions through imposing bans on political parties.
