RAWALPINDI: A police official lost his life and three others were injured after their van overturned due to a tyre burst near Col Sher Khan Interchange on the motorway on Thursday.

The motorway police shifted the injured to a hospital in Mardan, a spokesman said.

Six police officials were traveling in their squad van from Peshawar to Islamabad when the accident occurred. Constable Fazal Hayat died on reaching the hospital while the other injured were stated to be in stable condition.
