LAKKI MARWAT: Three members of a family were killed and two others received bullet injuries over an enmity in Mandori Patal Shah area of Bannu on Wednesday night.

Police said on Thursday that the triple murder took place in the limits of Miryakhel police station.

They said Noorza Ali Shah and his family members were taking evening meal at their hujra (guest house) when their rivals attacked and sprayed them with bullets and fled the scene.

They said Mohammad Anwar Ali Shah, 57, Ihsan Ali Shah, 35, and Umar Daraz, 39, received critical bullet injuries and died on the spot.

Police said two people including Noorza Ali Shah, 59, and Wajahat Ali Shah, 25 were injured in the attack.

They said the deceased and injured were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital and the bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem.

They added that an investigation had been launched into the shooting incident after registration of a case against Jehanzeb, Naib, Waqif, Ghafar Ali and Mehran on the complaint of Noorza Ali Shah, one of the injured, under relevant sections of law.

Separately, six armed men killed a brick kiln worker in the Wanda Sultankhel area of Lakki Marwat district on Thursday.

Police said Mohammad Younas Khan, 37, and his brother Hashim Khan, 48, were present at the brick kiln when six armed men wearing masks opened fire on Hashim Khan, killing him on the spot. They said the assailants managed to escape after the incident.

The police have registered a case against unknown killers and launched an investigation.
