CHITRAL: A joint session of Tehsil Councils Mastuj and Mulkhow/Torkhow of Upper Chitral district vehemently criticised the PTI’s provincial government for not releasing development funds and provision of salaries to the elected representatives of local bodies’ institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, here on Friday, the Tehsil Chairmen Sardar Hakim of Mastuj, Mir Jamshidud Din of Mulkhow/Torkhow and other local bodies’ representatives said that despite having political affiliation with the ruling party of the province, they were deprived of the public funds to initiate development schemes in their respective areas, which they described as ‘an insult to the people’s mandate.’

The local bodies’ representatives of Upper Chitral warned the government of starting long march on the provincial capital if the provincial government didn’t release the development funds for their areas and allocation of funds for the provision of salaries of local bodies’ representatives.
