Oh Snap!

We’ve heard about fake Facebook and X accounts but very seldom, if ever, do we hear about a phony Snapchat account. Well, folks, apparently singer Aima Baig has fallen victim to one. Alerting her admirers on Instagram, the vocalist informed them that she finds Snapchat an inappropriate application, so doesn’t have it. And she doesn’t intend to use the app in the future as well. Thank you Aima B for letting everyone know. Otherwise, some of us might have begun to hit the wrong notes while addressing you.

Stalked In London

Actress Durefishan Saleem is in London, enjoying some quality time with friends and family. During a day out on the streets of the city, she stopped to listen to, and record on her phone, a busker singing the OST from her play Ishq Murshid. Some unidentified person, without her permission, filmed her doing that. Then that person followed her for a couple of minutes and kept filming the actress from behind, while she was walking with her friends and later on uploaded the video online. This is downright condemnable. It is not just a breach of someone’s privacy but an ungainly, immoral act. It’s time fans recognised the boundaries of personal space.

The Refusal

After Salman Khan’s father’s statement that his son doesn’t have the courage to get married, actress Juhi Chawla has revealed another interesting fact on the same subject. When Salman K was young and Juhi C had just entered the film industry, he proposed marriage to her. But the actress’s father refused the proposal, saying his daughter needed to focus on her career. Tsk, tsk… No wonder Salman K doesn’t have the guts to get hitched: the fear of rejection.

Wedding Wise

Actress Mishi Khan has become a bit of a social commentator. The views that she expresses are pretty interesting. For example, she has a distinct take on the longevity and episodic celebrations of Anant Ambani’s wedding to Radhika Merchant. (For the uninitiated — and those living under rocks — Anant A is the son of Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani and his wedding festivities have been a months-long global extravaganza of how to burn money.) She says newly-wed couples have had babies by now but the Ambani wedding is still going on. Mishi K, look on the brighter side — it’s making people look and sound wise on social media.

The Grande Voice

Singer Ariana Grande was trolled after she spoke in a slightly different voice during a podcast. She was quick to respond that it was a normal thing for the people whose voices have a ‘large range’. The singer plays a character called Glinda in a forthcoming movie Wicked, and attributes the change to that. “I did just spend a long time playing a character every single day. Muscle memory is a real thing.” Sure, Ariana G, so is multiple personality disorder.

Eyes Wide Shut

Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey seems to have a jealous follower who does not like the way he uses his eyes while acting. We are talking about an insect. The actor has been stung in his right eye by a bee. As a result, the swollen eye has gotten ‘completely shut’. The actor uploaded a picture on Instagram to show what’s happened to him, captioning it “bee swell.” Alright, alright, alright… Matthew M, here’s hoping you ‘be swell’ soon.
