QUETTA: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Balochistan, has announced that 10 people have been killed and 31 injured so far in monsoon rains which lashed several districts of the province since June 7.
The rains also destroyed 89 houses and partially damaged 170 houses. Overall, the PDMA said, 1,799 people have been affected.
The rains have also damaged 17 kilometers of roads and 310 acres of agriculture land in the province. The condition of dams, it said, has remained normal so far, adding that the PDMA, in collaboration with district administrations, has continued relief activities in the affected districts of Balochistan.
