PESHAWAR: Minister for Revenue and Estate Nazir Ahmad Abbasi has called for internal and external review of state’s policies and taking the public into confidence before launching a military operation.

He was addressing a press conference at KP Assembly on Monday. KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati and Law Minister Aftab Alam Afridi were also present on the occasion. Mr Abbasi said that ban on Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) would mean rejecting a political party, having massive public support in the country.

He said that the members of the KP provincial assembly were the representatives of the people, and the KP chief minister and provincial cabinet should be taken into confidence on military operation in the province.

The minister said that the provincial government would introduce new rules for streamlining recruitments in the provincial assembly to ensure merit and transparency.
