TOBA TEK SINGH: The Anti-Corruption Establishment’s Faisalabad police station registered on Wednesday a case against PTI MNA from Jhang Sheikh Waqas Akram, his brother and mother and some revenue officials for Evacuee Trust land fraud

ACE ASI Jamshed Shaukat, the applicant, claimed that Akram, his mother Yasmin, brother Nawaz, tehsildar Faiz Naul, patwari Ghazanfar Thiraj and some other revenue officials fraudulently allotted Evacuee Trust’s 60 kanals in Jhang in 2014.

The ACE registered a case under sections 409, 468, 420 and 471 of PPC and 5-2-47 of PCA for getting land allotment by using political influence in Chak Noor Shah, Jhang. No arrest has been made so far.

ENCOUNTER: Two alleged robbers were killed on Wednesday evening in Faisal Town locality of Tandlianwala, Faisalabad district, in an encounter with police.

A police spokesperson claimed that four outlaws were fleeing after looting a man. When police chased them, they opened fire which was retaliated.

In the meantime, Faisalabad CPO Kamran Adil also reached Tandlianwala along with a heavy police contingent. After an exchange of fire, the police found the dacoits dead. They were identified as Sajid Puppy and Anwarul Haq.
